Beethoven's Minuet in G

8/31/2020

This was clear as a bell this morning as I woke.

Here's Beethoven's Minuet in G, which I only know because of The Music Man.  It says the song is from 1796.

Don't judge me.  I'm cultured, kind of.

Any Way You Want It

8/24/2020

I seriously have never, ever listened to Journey deliberately in my life.  I've always enjoyed and known the radio hits, but can't say I've chased the band other than that.

Regardless, my subconscious likes their songs so much I've blogged about 3 of them now in the last 3 months.

Wild stuff!

Here's Any Way You Want It.  You know the song. Yes, it's good admit it.

Invisible Touch

8/17/2020

I thought this song was a Phil Collins song!  It's not!  It's a Genesis song!  Phil Collins is singing of course!

I keep thinking I'm done with this blog, but I'll got enough in the tank to keep going I suppose.

Today's song is a new (hit) single by Dua Lipa called "Break My Heart"  Confession, I kind of like this song.  Don't hate.

When The Day is Short

7/13/20

Martha Wainwright makes so many visits to my blog.  I really like her but my subconscious LOVES her.

This is from her self-titled album from 2005- which is just a dang good and dang sad album.

Today's song "When The Day is Short" is probably the second saddest song on the record next to the f-bomb filled tirade of her song dedicated to her dad.

Here's the song, enjoy:

Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)

7/6/20

Another song from out of the blue by Journey.  I had to google what this one was.  I knew it was a rock ballad from the 80s and likely Journey but I wasn't sure.

Here's "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" which is the opening track to Journey's 1983 record FRONTIERS and here's the official video too!!!

Fast as you Can

6/29/20

Today is really 8/10/20 maybe one day I'll get caught up.

Here's a goodun, "Fast as you Can" by Fiona Apple from her fantastic 1999 record When The Pawn....

Oh neat and official video.  I've never seen it.  Enjoy.

Don't Come Around

6/22/20

Today's song is from Macy Gray.  It's called "Don't Come Around"  It's good.  It's from 2001.

Dead Faces

6/15/20

Here's another little catchy song by Indie-Darling Okkervil River.

That is the one and only time in my life I will use the term "indie-darling"  You have my word.

"Dead Faces" from Okkervil River's 2003 album DOWN THE RIVER OF DREAMS.

Good.
