Dear Future Husband

Happy Labor Day!  This tune by Meghan Trainor has been going through my head a lot lately.  She's an endearing artist to me, I like her style and I consider her a decent role model for my daughters, even though they've kind of outgrown her music. 

So, here's "Dear Future Husband" from Trainor's 2015 album "Title"  I can't believe this album is already 5 years old.  Catchy music indeed.   

We spent labor day camping in my parent's back yard.  I'm bad at camping, and I hate it.  But I did it anyway, and I hope my kids appreciate me for it.

You can either blame another post here about Meghan Trainor on my wife and daughters, or you can blame it on me because she's a guilty pleasure for me.  Or you can blame it on both, either way.

Regardless, Meghan Trainor writes catchy music and I believe this is the 3rd or 4th time one of her songs has been featured here at thesongsstuckinmyhead.blogspot.com!

This is from her 2017 Album "Thank You" which has gotten repeated spins at the Cash house in the last few years.  The song is called "Friends" and it's about Friends.  Seriously.

Me Too

My goodness, this Meghan Trainor girl is everywhere these days.  My daughters have been blasting this song, again and again.

As of right now, May 29th, 2016 at 6:14 P.M. the YouTube video currently has 42,228,809 views.  (I'm pretty sure about 1 million of those views are from my daughters alone!)  Amazing considering that this video has been up for just over 2 weeks!!

This music video is the very one that made headlines for having photoshopped Trainor's thighs to appear thinner.  She was furious and made them pull the video.  Isn't that neat?

Then of course there was that one time that Trainor fell performing this song on the Tonight Show.  They offered her the option to do another take and she declined.  Isn't that neat too?  She's neat.

I feel old and boring.

All About That Bass

I'm a huge fan of any song that's about bass.  I especially love sea bass- it's delicious and doesn't hardly taste like fish.  I HATE when my fish tastes like fish.

Here's "All About That Bass" from Meghan Trainor, which of course is the latest anthem for women with heavier builds.  I actually really dig the song and I'm a huge fan of the message that goes along with it.
