You're On Fire

It's time for They Might Be Giants.

Dare I say that this is my favorite band of all time?  It just might be.

This duo of John Flansburgh and John Linnell have been rocking for over 30 years and they have few songs that sound alike.  They are quirky and brilliant- and what's great (for a family man like me) is that their music appeals to both adults and kids alike.

The appeal is the goofy lyrics, catchy melodies and poignancy all rolled up together.

Today's song is called "You're On Fire."  The song itself has to do with road rage, or people getting overly upset over things like getting a car towed.

Check out the strange/rad video that goes along with this fantastic song (which is from the opening track on their 2012 album, Nanobots)

I was thinking about doing a top list of my favorite TMBG albums from worst to best until I've just now realized I've never listened to 2 of their studio albums in their entirety.  I have some work to do.

Seriously, though-  listen to some They Might Be Giants.  Whether you're a kid or adult, in my opinion you'll love them.
