Blogs are so passe and pretentious. Oh well, here's my blog about music that's stuck in my head when I wake up in the mornings along with adventures of the Cash family and wacky wacky crazy wacky shenanigans.

I'm Writing a Novel
9/14/2020
It's been awhile since I've blogged about Father John Misty. His 2012 album "Fear Fun" is one that I fell in love with immediately.
Today's song is probably my favorite from that record, it's called "I'm Writing a Novel" and it's great.
I read somewhere that FJM (real name Josh Tillman) took a ton of mushrooms and drove all over the California coast and wrote this record, after first being inspired to write a novel. Whatever happened, the experience produced some good music and I've enjoyed it much since discovering it.
Here's the song, enjoy:

Dear Future Husband
9/7/2020
Happy Labor Day! This tune by Meghan Trainor has been going through my head a lot lately. She's an endearing artist to me, I like her style and I consider her a decent role model for my daughters, even though they've kind of outgrown her music.
So, here's "Dear Future Husband" from Trainor's 2015 album "Title" I can't believe this album is already 5 years old. Catchy music indeed.
We spent labor day camping in my parent's back yard. I'm bad at camping, and I hate it. But I did it anyway, and I hope my kids appreciate me for it.
Hugs, Brady
Beethoven's Minuet in G
This was clear as a bell this morning as I woke.
Here's Beethoven's Minuet in G, which I only know because of The Music Man. It says the song is from 1796.
Don't judge me. I'm cultured, kind of.
Any Way You Want It
I seriously have never, ever listened to Journey deliberately in my life. I've always enjoyed and known the radio hits, but can't say I've chased the band other than that.
Regardless, my subconscious likes their songs so much I've blogged about 3 of them now in the last 3 months.
Wild stuff!
Here's Any Way You Want It. You know the song. Yes, it's good admit it.
Invisible Touch
I thought this song was a Phil Collins song! It's not! It's a Genesis song! Phil Collins is singing of course!
Hugs
This Used To Be My Playground
Who would have thunk it would take 8 years for me to blog about Madonna. But here we are
From the movie "A League of Their Own" here's This Used to be my Playground.
I dug the movie. Meh on the song:
The Girl Is Mine
You know the song. You even cringed as you sang along joyfully!
Here's "The Girl is Mine" from MJ's classic Thriller, featuring Sir Paul, himself.
Break My Heart
I keep thinking I'm done with this blog, but I'll got enough in the tank to keep going I suppose.
Today's song is a new (hit) single by Dua Lipa called "Break My Heart" Confession, I kind of like this song. Don't hate.
Huggerz
Don't Stop Believin'
Journey makes another appearance.
It's a great song, really it is.
I hope that's really the official video.

When The Day is Short
Martha Wainwright makes so many visits to my blog. I really like her but my subconscious LOVES her.
This is from her self-titled album from 2005- which is just a dang good and dang sad album.
Today's song "When The Day is Short" is probably the second saddest song on the record next to the f-bomb filled tirade of her song dedicated to her dad.
Here's the song, enjoy:
Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)
Another song from out of the blue by Journey. I had to google what this one was. I knew it was a rock ballad from the 80s and likely Journey but I wasn't sure.
Here's "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" which is the opening track to Journey's 1983 record FRONTIERS and here's the official video too!!!
Fast as you Can
Today is really 8/10/20 maybe one day I'll get caught up.
Here's a goodun, "Fast as you Can" by Fiona Apple from her fantastic 1999 record When The Pawn....
Oh neat and official video. I've never seen it. Enjoy.
Don't Come Around
Today's song is from Macy Gray. It's called "Don't Come Around" It's good. It's from 2001.
Dead Faces
Here's another little catchy song by Indie-Darling Okkervil River.
That is the one and only time in my life I will use the term "indie-darling" You have my word.
"Dead Faces" from Okkervil River's 2003 album DOWN THE RIVER OF DREAMS.
Good.
I Hear The Wind
In 1992, They Might Be Giants released a delightful little album called 'Apollo 18' and on that record they did something unusual: They wrote a delightful little song called FINGERTIPS, which in fact was 21 songs in 1- each lasting about 5 to 30 seconds. I think the idea was to put your compact disc on random shuffle and you'd get a complete song and then 5 seconds of an incomplete song-- that's how it see it at least.
Welp today the 3rd song in the movement "fingertips" by master weirdos TMBG was in my head. It's called "Fingertips 3- I hear the Wind" Here's the complete sequence:
If It Makes You Happy
Today's post is from that rascal of a singer-songwriter named Cheryl Crow. She's actually pretty great from what I've heard but I've only ever been exposed to her songs on the radio.
Today's song comes from her!
One time I went to go see David Byrne open for her and after he was done with his set, I left. Probably should have stayed but I drove a long time to go see the concert and it was an outdoor venue. Have I told this story, well, here goes...
It was 2004, I believe. My buddy Dave and I were WAY into David Byrne's music at the time because his recordings had some really cool string music on them. If you want to hear what I'm talking about, check out his 2001 and 2004 solo records, both are great.
We were anxious to see him tour with these strings but the closest concert was a 6 hour drive to Aspen Colorado. Luckily, I was young and FREEE and so Dave bought tickets for us online months in advanced and we planned a little day trip.
We arrived and soon discovered that we needed to shuttle into the venue from a parking lot. Which we did. Upon arrival, we were escorted to the will call table which was stupidly located inside the front gates. We sat at the will call table while 3 or 4 volunteer employees shuffled around trying to find the tickets Dave had purchased months prior on the internet.
Long story short, the tickets were nowhere to be found.... so we had to buy them again. BUT! Both Dave and I had left our wallets in the car, who knows why... so-- that meant we had to shuttle back out to get some money to buy tickets. We were pissed.
BUT. As we were leaving guess what those bozo volunteer employees did?!?!? THEY GAVE US WRISTBANDS. Dave and I turned right around and walked right back in. And we never got charged for ANY tickets. As poor college students this was fantastic, even if it was a little dishonest :\ One day when I'm rich I'll find out who put together this concert and donate to them or something.
Welp, the bad news is that it was raining like MAD that day. We ended up spending money on slickers to keep us dry... but they didn't even do much. It was pouring. Raining so badly that when it came time for David Byrne to play his set, they chose to not bring the string quartet to the stage with him. He played a solo show, just him and a guitar. It was disappointing to say the least, even though DB is great no matter what.
But I digress, this post is about Cheryl Crow! So when DB was done and Cheryl Crow prepared to start her set, Dave and I left and drove 6 hours home, agreeing that it was only worth the drive for the story of beating the system and getting into a concert for free.
OH, here's "If it makes you happy" by Cheryl Crow, the song stuck in my head!
Mia & Sebastian's Theme
My daughter plays the first 10 seconds of this song on the piano all the time, hence it getting stuck in my head.
Neat neat times.

All Mixed Up
(I've gotten behind, sorry Waandy)
Today I had something very unusual and distinct stuck in my head. It's a song I learned in the 3rd grade to help me multiply by eights.
I tried SO DANG HARD to find the actual recording I used to learn it. I checked online through hundreds of songs that are used to help learn to multiply.
Here are the lyrics to the song. It goes like this. 8 16 24 32 40 48 (clap clap- clap clap) 56 and 64 and 72. Now sing 80 and we're all through. I was gonna make a video of me singing the song since I couldn't find the actual recording and the hassle of putting the video together has gotten me behind. One day maybe I'll put it here, but as of today, 7/22- I haven't done it yet.
ANYWAY, since I couldn't find a recording, instead I'll play an oldie but a goodie called "All Mixed Up" by 311, that one band remember tham? It was stuck in my head later that morning, so I'll play you that song....now!
I miss the 90's. I never really got into this band, but I like the guitar riff at the beginning.
I've got a bunch more posts to make so I'll try to rush through them.
HUGS
Lost Coastlines
Hi Wandy,
I hope today's post finds you well... I'm blogging today about a band called Okkervil River. Have you heard of them? I'll bet you haven't.
They are good.
Monday morning I woke up with a melody in my head and I knew it was one of their songs, however I didn't know which one!!!
So I started looking through their discography to try to find the song and I couldn't do it! What was I to do?!?
Then, I went to the band's main page on Spotify to see what some of their top songs are and, sure enough, today's was #1 on this list! Okkervil River's most streamed song on Spotify, and since it was ringing around in my hear, likely their most catchy.
It's called "Lost Coastlines" and it's from their 2008 record The Stand Ins.
If you're thinking of trying this band out, I can't recommend their album Black Sheep Boy enough. It's kind of a little masterpiece.
Their lead singer gets a little pitchy sometimes, but generally he's putting out pretty dang good music and lyrics.
Here's today's song, I hope you likey! They even have a music video to go along with it.
I think the song is about finding your place while feeling lost?!? I dunno. Hugs

It's Not Dark Up Here
I think that even though I love his solo work, this is maybe the only second post I've made featuring David Byrne's solo work.
And it came out of nowhere since I haven't listened to a new album of his in probably 15 years.
I think this song ended up on my Shazaam tracks after hearing it on KRCL, Salt Lake's independent radio station. The song is good and quintessential David Byrne. I think he's got some show on Broadway right now featuring this song, maybe??? I'm too lazy to look it up.
Here's "It's Not Dark Up Here" from Byrne's 2018 album AMERICAN UTOPIA.
Dig it.
Come Together
Hi Andrew,
I bet you bin dyin' ta know witch song wuz stuck in me head this week?
Are you dying??!?
You'd think it may be something from Reinhold Messner since that concert we did was a year ago, but sadly, such was not the case. But I did give that record a good listen on Saturday. Man. I love it.
But fret not, something great is coming......
The other day I was just messing around with the kids, singing about quarantine and I started singing a couple lines of parody to this song. "Sta-ay apart" instead of come together. It was so great. Move on over weird Al!
He got facemask
He got, ly-ysol
He got, grumpy children
He got, Tylenol
Stay-ay apart! Right now! Quarantine!
Anyway....
Is there a better opening track to any album of all time? I love this song. I love Abbey Road. I love the Beatles. I love the way the bass, drum and Lennon sing/whispering "shoot me" just pound with coolness as this opens.
Good song. Good times. Good buds.
Have a gr8 week.
Brady
5 Dollars
Hey Andrew,
(until somebody else fesses up that they're reading my blog, these posts will continue to be addressed to my bestie Wandy Z)
This is a new artist to me, Christine and The Queens. According to the interwebs, is actually a one-man (woman!) show made by French artist Heloise Adelaide Letissier. If you pronounce her name correctly on the first try, I'll give you a dollar.
I listened to this album a couple of times because the production and sound of it is really pretty good. The album is called "Chris" A little redundant, Chris by Christine and the Queens of Chris. Chris. Chris Chris. The album is kind of neat because there are two discs, same songs, first disc in English and second in French. Because I'm anal about listening to an album in its entirety, I listened to in consecutively and put one of the tracks on a playlist. Listened to the playlist and heard the song and now it's in my head OK? This is how it works. OK?
The song is called "5 Dollars" although when she sings Dollars in one syllable the way she does in the song it sounds like she says "5 Dolls" What a crazy, crazy Frenchie!
Wild times, Wandy.
Here's the song:
Hugs, Brady
Not Like You
Hey Andrew,
Happy Easter! Having a neat, neat time in Quarantine here.
I just learned that the word Quarantine derives from Latin and means 40. Likely to do with so many biblical references to 40, during times of famine, curses, wandering in the wilderness for 40 years etc.
So very neat. Hopefully it means that we'll only spend 40 days in quarantine, but I doubt it :(
Anyway, here's a weird one playing in my head, from 1986, by super-pop girl-group, The Bangles. It's the final track on their hit album "Different Light" and the song is called 'Not Like You'
Fun fact, I never listened to this album until I blogged about "Manic Monday" some time ago.
I hope you like the song stuck in my head Waaandy.
My Sweet Lord
Yo Andy,
Have you heard this song by George Harrison? It's from his 1970 solo album "All Things Must" pass. I've never given the record a listen, but I will soon.
I love this song:
Poor GH.
HUGS.
Do It Again
Yo Andrew,
Never in my life did I think that I would be blogging about a song by Steely Dan. Nothing against the group, just honestly have never listened to them. The other day kind of messing around on Spotify I listened to their 1972 debut album "Can't Buy a Thrill"
"Do it again" is the opening track and you've likely heard the song. It was stuck in my head this morning y'alls.
I hope you have a neat week and I hope you don't catch Coronavirus
Brady
J
Dear Andrew,
I know I've played Reggie and the Full Effect a little bit for you. You may or may not know that Reggie released a record in 2008 called "Last Stop Crappy Town" The record is very different when it comes to Reggie's music... more serious. In fact, James Dewees (he's the guy behind Reggie, maybe better known for playing with The Get Up Kids) was going through some serious rehabbing when he wrote this record.
Did you notice the name of this song? It's really called "J"
J references, I believe J St. which was a stop on the subway James took every day on his way to rehab. The whole record sounds and feels like a runaway freight train on its way to hell, up until the very end. I dig the record although it's pretty dark, and there's some scream-singing going on.
Today's song, which is probably the most commercial sounding, also features some of this screaming stuff. I'm curious what you think of it? For some reason, I forgive Reggie when he goes all scream-o on me. But most people I know can hardly stand it.
HUGS

Mysterious Ways
Dear Andrew,
Thank you for being the only friend who reads this. Today's song is brought to you by U2. I don't think I've blogged about them here yet, but I'm too lazy to look it up, so maybe I have.
Anyway, it's an oldie but a goodie, from 1991's masterpiece (in my opinion) Achtung Baby, here's mysterious ways.
Happy early summer to you (does it feel that way, I bet not!)
Hugs.
Brady
P.S. just confirmed that of the 450+ blog posts I've done, this is in fact my first about U2.
So neat.
So so neat
Lay There & Hate Me
Hi Waaandy.
I've thought about turning this into a podcast instead of a blog, but by the time I do that, podcasts will likely be passe, just like I probably missed the boat on blogs. Always a few years behind, I just started streaming music too. I suppose I'm one of THOSE guys.
Anyway... here's the song from 3/9/2020
It's from Ben Harper and Relentless 7, the band he cut one album with in 2009. It's pretty good. This song is too.
It's called "Lay there and Hate Me"
Sister Christian
Here's an oldie but a goodie.
'Sister Christian' the 80's power-ballad by Night Ranger.
Have fun.
Spingo Il Tempo Al Massimo
Quickly...
I really don't listen to Italian artist Jovanotti all that much, but his dang music gets in my brain lots and lots.
And I really like the dude-- problem is that he's a mainstream artist in Italy and mainstream music has a beat-box/techno/remix feel to it. I love Jovanotti for his versatility and he really does have some great music. Being an Italian speaker, it's fun to understand the lyrics.
This song is from 2011 album "Ora" It's called SPINGO IL TEMPO AL MASSIMO.
Here are the lyrics in English y'alls.

Here's the song. This is the kind of music I would frequently hear in the supermarkets when I lived in Italy as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I wasn't permitted to listen to "wordly" music during my two year stint in It-ly, so when I heard ANY music (as a music lover) I would take it, even if it wasn't my preferred genre, techno.
HuGs.
Too Tall Girl
It's hard for me to imagine life without TMBG's music. I really, really love this band.
Here's a fun little ditty stuck in my head.
"Too Tall Girl" from TMBG's 2013 album NANOBOTS (so good)
Bad Luck
Maybe about 10-12 years ago I kept hearing the name Neko Case come up as I talked about music with friends. At first I thought that she was the same person as Nico (the 1960's German model-turned-singer who had a handful of hits in that era) and that I had just never heard her last name. Not very often that you hear of a woman named Nico (Neko?).... in my world at least.
It didn't take me long to figure out that they were not the same person. And while an occasional Neko Case song would come up, I was actually more familiar with Nico's music. The only thing I knew about Ms Case was associated to her work with Canadian Supergroup (with a terrible name!) The New Pornographers. (They are great!)
So--- why am I talked about Neko Case you ask?!? WELL! I've been listening to her you guys! And one of her songs got stuck in my head.
This is from Case's latest album, 2018's "Hell-On" The song is called Bad Luck. I likey....
Wow, doing a little research, I just found out that Neko actually covered Nico in 2013! What the what!??!
I tried to upload pictures of Nico and Neko and it didn't work.
Happy Nico Neko Day.
Bye.
You Get What You Deserve
Welcome to February and enjoy a song from the fantastically underrated band Big Star.
The band released three albums in the early 70's, but it sounds like they had trouble finding success with record sales and getting along as a group.
Today's song comes from their second album, "Radio City" which was released in 1974. It's track five and it's called "You Get What You Deserve"
Please listen:
Thanks for some good music along the way, Big Star. I hope you like today's song and today's post.
You and I
This l'il lady they call Ingrid Michaelson is a favorite of my family's. Consequently lots of her songs get stuck in my head.
Today's was no exception. My son was sung this song at bedtime for many, many years. And he still loves it. I suppose I do to, in my own way.
I hope you have a neat day, my friend.
Beautiful
Barenaked Ladies! Now here's a band that I just listened to waaaay too much in the early 2000's.
I've blogged a few times about some of their songs. And I'm too lazy to look back, but I'm sure I lamented what a loss the band took in 2008ish when Stephen Page left the group, and frankly I haven't (probably unfairly) visited any of the band's new material since then. Maybe I will someday.
The song stuck in my head comes from the band's last record cut with Page. And ironically, the SSIMH is not even a Stephen Page song!
Anyway, the album is called "Barenaked Ladies are Men" and the track is called "Beautiful"
It's a nice song.
Meh
Yellow Hearts
The internets are funny. Today's song found its way into my Spotify library based on my Random Music Generator when I was forced to listen to the Top 50 tracks in the world.
Wow, mainstream music is so far past me I don't even know what to think. I feel old saying it, but I hate that it's the kind of music my children know.
Today's song isn't too bad, really. But here's what I find fascinating about it--- it's by an artist named Ant Saunders. According to The Internets, his real name is Anthony Saunders and he writes and produces his own music. When I played this song for my 12 year old daughter, she immediately started singing along. I asked her how she knows the song and she said "Tik Tok" Which, of course, is an app where kids lip sync. I'm old.
Here's the song stuck in my head. It's called "Yellow Hearts"
"Yellow Hearts" was released just as a single, Ant Saunders has yet to release an album, but this is such a cool example of how somebody can just throw some music they've produced out to The Internets and make a successful story out of it. As of right now, Spotify says this song has streamed over 97 million times. According to the web (The Internets you guys) Spotify pays 0.0038 cents per stream. Let's do some maths!
97,000,000 X 0.0038= DRUM ROLL....... $368,600
Good for this young man. I may scoff at what the kids are listening to, but there are worse songs in the world.
Personality
I'm trying something pretty dangerous going into 2020... For years I've been blogging about the song playing in my head on a SUNDAY morning. For 2020, I've moved it to MONDAY morning. I'm a risk taker.
Who knows if it will change the kind of song playing in my head? Only time will tell.
So far it's been pretty interesting because today's song came completely out of left field!
I have no idea how I know this song, it's just one that I've heard over the years. I had to google it to find it, but the original song is from 1959 and it's by R&B Singer-Songwriter Lloyd Price.
According to the internet, Prince covered the song... maybe that's how I know it, but I've never listened to Prince so who knows?
Anyway, here's the song.... the original, but it's been covered tons of times too.
I lubb you.
I'll Fly Away
We had a special week with my extended Cash family as my grandparents celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. They were married on Christmas day in 1949, which is just great. It has an "It's a Wonderful Life" feel to it.
Anyway, music has always been a part of my family and Grandpa had a whole list of songs he wanted played for them. From "you are my sunshine" to "little joe the wrangler" to "long line of love" it was a great night. The highlight was when my Grandparents, approaching their 90's, danced to their love song "To Each His Own" It was a great day to be with so many people I love.
The song from that night that found its way into my head is called "I'll Fly Away" It's actually a gospel song from 1929, written by Southern Gospel composer Albert Brumley. My family took the chords from You are My Sunshine and integrated it into a medley with I'll Fly Away. It was lovely.
The song itself has been covered time and time and time again. It's always tough to decide which version to share, so I guess I'll give you a few:
Alison Krauss:
Alan Jackson:
and cause he's family, somewhere down the line, Johnny Cash:
Here's a few pics I caught... wish I had gotten more. My 8 year old son, Jude, hugging my grandparents, who truly are the best.
The Best Things Happen While You're Dancing
Here's my Christmas song for the year. Sorta meh about Christmas music, kind of always have been... so here's "The Best Things Happen While Your Dancing" from White Christmas. Probably not a Christmas song... but a song in a Christmas movie, so here's the closest my subconscious is gonna give you this year.....
Merry Christmas
(even though technically I'm posting this nearly a month later)
Ithaca
Here's a nice little find.
This is from South African band Beatenburg, from their 2014 album "The Hanging Gardens of Beatenburg" It's track 7 and the song is about travelling. Here's Ithaca. It's good.
I had to look it up, maybe because I'm dumb, but Ithaca is an island in Greece!
Or a town in the finger lakes region of New York.
Whichever you prefer.
Where would you visit? I'd visit the Island. I am just saying.
Bye.
You Are Loved (Don't Give Up)
Confession time: My listening of music has evolved into something a little strange. It all started when I started streaming music.
Let me go back first.... I've always hated "picking" what to listen to next. Not sure why. I think mostly because it's hard to decide and also maybe sometimes I'll change my mind in the middle of an album or song, or whatever and I don't like that for some reason. I especially felt that way when I was using my iPod which had some pretty *innovative* shuffling features. You could shuffle all songs or all albums. Shuffling albums was my favorite.
As an avid iPod user, I learned that they would last a good two years of daily, nearly constant use, before going kaput. When my last one went kaput this spring, I finally gave in and joined Spotify. I've never looked back even though streaming pays my favorite artists JACK SQUAT.
But I digress. In fact I'm not even gonna try to have all of this post make sense or have structure. I'm just gonna type OK!
So.... I have loved streaming on Spotify, and I even started liking songs and albums to match the collection I had worked so hard on when I was downloading music. BUT! Here's the problem-- on Spotify you can make a collection of albums, but as far as I know, the shuffle album feature doesn't exist. Boo.
So- I started to miss this feature, because I love albums, and I love shuffling.
I conceived an idea to remedy this dilemma... how could I start to randomly generate albums I WANT to listen to......
So, my old pal the Random Number Generator came into play- let's see if I can embed it to this post, I've done it before. Hold on.
Can you believe I did that all by myself! I'm so proud!
OK.... So.... Let's see if I can explain what I decided to do:
I created a list between 1 and 30. By spinning the number generator, the next sequence of music you'll be listening to is decided by the spin!
Here's the list I'm currently using- I'll elaborate after I show you the list.
1 & 2- One of my blog playlists (currently 21 total lists)
3 & 4- Any of the other current playlists I've created or following (currently 30 total lists)
5- Shuffle all my liked songs
6- Pick a friend I follow who is currently listening to music (Spotify has this feature)
7- Pick a friend whose name I see along the side (who is currently listening or has recently listened)
8- Pick a person from a list of people who follow me (currently 49 people)
9- Pick a person from a list of people who I follow (currently 416 people)
10- Pick an album to listen to based on suggestions from a Facebook post I made a few months back.
11 & 12- Pick a post from this here website (the blog) and listen to the album
13 & 14- Shuffle liked songs. First song played defer to its album.
15- "Browse" tab at Spotify home page.
16-20 "Home" page of Spotify, pick whatever is suggested from one of their generated lists
21-22 Shuffle my iTunes purchases (I have many) and play the corresponding album of 1st song played
23- Shuffle all my liked songs
24- Play albums A-Z (saved albums in spotify list) Started at A and working down to Z alphabetically
25- Play albums Z-A (saved albums in spotify list) Started at Z and working up to A
26-30 Spin 1-25 and play a random artist's album according to the spin.
OK, that's a general overview. I hope I still have you. Basically you spin the wheel and it lands on a number, and from there, if applicable, you randomize the option again til you have either an album, or playlist. Then you listen to it!
For example. Lets say I spin a '6' (Pick a friend I follow who is currently listening to music) I look to see who is currently listening to music that I follow on Spotify. Lets say there are 5 people- I then spin again, but this time from 1 to 5. Then whomever it lands on is the person that decides what I'm listening to. Usually I randomize between what they are currently listening to, one of their public playlists, or a list of current artists they are listening to that Spotify picks for them. But if you want to try this (who would?) then you can do it however you want.
I'm constantly changing things, but I find that generally I'm listening to music I like, and if I don't like it, I just laugh at myself to be compulsive enough to do this anyway. One day my friend Jeff called me (this was September) and said "Brady! Why are you listening to Christmas music!?"
Just today I listened to The Stone Roses self-titled album twice. Luckily I like this album. But I'm super anal about listening to whatever is generated for me, so if the spinner landed me on, oh, I don't know, "Ethel Merman Sings the hits of Nickelback" twice in the same day, I'd listen to it twice.
I'm compulsive.
So... another thing that has made this fun (for me) is a playlist that I constantly update that I call "Top o' the Hour" Essentially it's a revolving playlist. I take whichever track I'm listening to, and place it at the top of the playlist at the top of each hour. Then I take the oldest track on there off the playlist. I'm constantly making changes to this playlist and it makes for the strangest mix of songs, but most of them really are good so it's fun to listen to it.

Oh, and the song stuck in my head was "You Are Loved" by Josh Groban. And one of the reasons so many strange songs (like today's, strange for me, I never listen to Groban) are now weasling their way onto my blog is because of my listening to this playlist and being extremely random in my listening choices-- but I'm having a lot of fun, nonetheless.
Here's the dang song y'alls
You are loved. Don't give up!
Love yourself too. I'm learning to like who I am, with all eccentricities and all!
